This position coordinates and supervises all aspects of teller operations within the branch ensuring customer transactions are performed in a timely, accurate manner that adheres to documented policy and procedure to prevent losses to the bank.
The Head Teller provides working leadership and guidance to tellers through assignment of work and by providing technical guidance.
This position must present a quality, professional image for First Community Bank and have the ability and desire to develop and maintain quality customer relationships.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Deliver consistent, high quality service to internal and external customers and maintain strict confidentiality in all bank matters.
Ensure everyone in the department is properly trained according to bank's policies and procedures.
Monitor performance of tellers to ensure policies and procedures are being followed.
Responsible for after closing balancing of branch's daily activities/totals and assisting Branch Manager in resolving Branch issues.
Process and verify all currency and coin shipments for the branch and ensure adequate supply of currency and coin for bank's need based on legal requirements and business demand.
Serve as an operational reference for tellers making decisions within authority.
Open, control access, balance and close vault following bank policy and procedure.
Maintain an inventory of supplies required by teller department.
Balance and stock ATM machine.
Audit ATM and cash drawers according to policy.
Investigate and resolve any customer issue escalated by teller staff either through personal action or referral to other bank staff.
Participate in performance review process for tellers, providing on-going mentoring, and feedback to foster employee growth and development.
Compile reports as required.
Participate in the interviewing and staffing process for the teller department.
Attend department and company meetings/training which may be outside of regularly schedule work hours.
Reconcile inventory for cashier's checks, money orders, traveler's checks and gift cards.
Schedule teller work hours and as required make specific job assignments.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
